Clear Certain Diagnostic Codes Only Diagnostic Codes 190-00 (Engine Overspeed Warning) and 23-02 (Excessive Engine Power) require factory passwords to clear once they are logged. The majority of logged codes require no passwords to clear.Since factory passwords contain alphabetic characters, only the ECAP may perform these functions.
