January 2009 CATERPILLAR REMAN ANNOUNCES AN APPEARANCE CHANGE TO CERTAIN MECHANICAL
UNIT FUEL INJECTORS
Announcement
The Caterpillar Reman Products Group introduces a new metal deposition process around the bracket for certain mechanical unit injectors. This new process will alter the appearance of the remanufactured mechanical unit injectors. Validation tests confirm the change will not alter quality, reliability, fit or performance.
Acceptable appearances with this new metal deposition process are as shown below (see figures 1 &2).
Effective January 2009, this appearance change will affect the following part numbers:
