Introduction
This publication contains information on the locking screw of the 341-8700 Fuel Injection Pump Gp . Locking Mechanism of the Three Lobe Fuel Pump
The locking screw is located on the side of the fuel injection pump. The locking screw is tightened with the washer in an Upward position. The washer is placed in the Upward position for shipping purposes prior to installation. Refer to Illustration 1. The locking screw must be moved to the Unlocked position after installation and prior to starting the engine. Loosen the screw and reposition the washer to the Downward position. Tighten the screw after moving the washer to the Downward position. Refer to Illustration 2
